After losing a very close friend on November 25, 1990 , at the age of 19 , who was killed by her ex-boyfriend, Tracy became a strong supporter of victims and survivors of domestic violence. Unfortunately, her journey with domestic violence would not end there. the tornado of domestic violence would rip through her own life and would change her forever.
She now dedicates her life to educating survivors of domestic violence and those most vulnerable about the physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional costs of unhealthy relationships.
She is a registered nurse. She is a certified trauma support specialist and a certified relationship health educator. She has extensive experience educating and advocating for survivors of domestic violence for over 16 years of her nursing career. She has worked as an emergency department case manager caring ,educating and advocating for survivors of domestic violence and other patients.
She has educated both survivors, students, and other healthcare professionals on the topic of domestic violence. She has traveled as a registered nurse and has worked in some of the top United States level I trauma center, including Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
She has worked with young women who were victims of or at risk for human trafficking in the metro Atlanta area As a certified relationship health educator, She also facilitates youth dating abuse prevention workshops for students from middle school through college.
She has also honorably served her country in the United States Air Force.. She currently serves on the Governance Board of Director's for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, as well as serving on the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence programmatic task force.
Sharon has extensive experience in emergency room nursing. She earned her certification in Emergency Nursing. She has experience in HIV education. As a sexual assault nurse examiner she has work with both pediatric and adult victims of sexual abuse.
She also has emergency room case management experience. She is a passionate volunteer for Georgia's Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to improve the lives of families and children in the foster care system. She brings to this role her years of leadership, expertise, compassion and a servant's heart.
Verenia has extensive and broad accounting and finance experience. She is the owner of Hatch & Associates Inc. , a professional accounting and business consulting firm. She has vast experience working with nonprofits as well as serving on nonprofit board of directors.
She has experience working in other CPA firms ,as well as, working in the Dallas county auditor's office. She has performed audits for nonprofit organizations, prepared financial statements, general bookkeeping, payroll, analysis of internal controls systems, analysis of financial policies and procedures.
She is active in giving back to her local community. Ms. Hatch is a dedicated member of many organizations around the Dallas Fort Worth area including Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Urban League of Greater Dallas, National Association of Professional Women and the North Texas Business and Professional Woman’s league.
Dr. Adams is a family physician, former Navy SEAL, and former United States Army Delta Force surgeon. After his distinguished and highly decorated 36-year military career in the Navy and Army, he started a thriving family practice in Knightdale, NC.
He has dedicated his life to helping patients and families when they needed him most.
Dr. Adams will serve as our medical director. He is the Author of Six Days Of Impossible: Navy Seal Hell Week and Swords and Saints A Doctor's Journey. He brings to the advisory board years of exemplary leadership, organizational experience and medical expertise .
Mary brings an extensive history of expertise and experience. She holds both a bachelor's of art degree in Business and Economics, as well as a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. with a minor in Sociology. She has training in multicultural studies with a focus on Mexican, Native Americans & African Culture.
She has experience working with clients in the criminal justice system, in recovery, survivors of domestic violence, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and former human sex trafficking victims.
She has experience working at the Department of Anthropology & Council on Archaeological Studies at Yale University, New Haven CT. While at Yale, she served as an Administrator and Operations Manager. She is skilled in, budget strategies, managing revenue, student support, managing human resources, sponsored and restricted funding, procuring goods and services, safeguarding and managing assets, financial management and control, fiscal authority and knowledge evaluation.
She is passionate about working with the most vulnerable and underserved population in our society, She is committed and dedicated to serving those with disabilities and those struggling with mental health.
Twanda is a behavioral health registered nurse . She also holds a dual degree in nursing and social work. She has experience working in the Department of Human Services Family And Children's Services.
She brings with her, a vast knowledge base, education, unwavering dedication and impeccable leadership skills. She is passionate about serving the mental health community, providing education and care to her patients. She is committed to providing education and awareness to the general public on mental health related topics.
Officer Vickery serves as a community affairs officer of the Sandy Springs police department. She also has experience as a patrol officer. She holds a degree in Criminal Justice as well as a minor in Sociology. .
She also holds a masters degree in Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis. She has extensive experience working with and educating survivors of domestic violence on the legal options available to them. She is a dedicated servant of public safety in the city of Sandy Springs and in the State of Georgia.
Kaiya is a pursuing a degree in Biology. She coordinates and oversees our youth outreach and prevention programs. She brings to the advisory board of directors youth leadership to represent the growing epidemic domestic violence in teens and on college campuses. throughout the State Of Georgia. She serves in a leadership role as part of our youth council.
She brings the skill set of leadership, creativity, energy and passion to spread awareness and understanding of the effects of domestic violence among our youth. She is an experienced certified relationship health educator. She has experience in college campus domestic violence education and advocacy.
